Making Dishwasher soap

Dish washing is a big issue!

It is really an issue. If you're going to use a dish washer, your water and electricity bill will swallow "I've tried that my self although water and electricity in my country are not very expensive".
My recommendation is; to wash dishes and glasses using your hands in a kitchen gloves "it's an economical suggestion, believe me this is much cheaper" You can use hot water in a sink with some liquid soap to soak stuff then just wash in a tub or another sink then a quick flush of tap water. That's it. Easy, isn't it :) but if you insist, I'll give you a recipe that will help you saving some money. Ah, You can use a small dishwasher machine, it saves water and power too.

To make dish washer detergent

Just mix borax with washing soda 1:1 and keep them in a jar :) "Super easy"
If you want your glasses to be sparkling bright use citric acid (sugar free lemonade works good too) or white vinegar to rinse.

Making washing machine soap

You can make your own washing machine liquid soap

The amounts you'll use will make you laundry soap enough for around 50 loads. This soap doesn't make much bubbles but it cleans spots very well besides it's safe to your washing machine. You simply need 1/2 a cup of sodium borate (Borax), 3 tbsp washing soda (sodium carbonate) and 40g (around 11/2 oz) of a soap bar. Your favorite scent (1 tsp of any essential oil)

Grate soap first and put it in a pot contains 1/2 a litre of water. Heat to melt soap but not to boil. After soap melts, put it in a large plastic container and add 5 liters of warm water and stir. Mix borax and sodium carbonate (washing soda) with the whole solution until they all dissolve. Add the essential oil and stir again. Cover and leave for at least 8 hours. Mix and add to plastic bottles and store for 2 months.
I've tried this recipe and did an experimental load of kitchen towels and the result was marvelous!
I also want to share how I made washing soda. Washing soda is much more expensive than baking soda. You can prepare washing soda starting from baking soda. How?
Line a baking tray with baking paper and flatten using a wooden stick. Bake in a 180oC (350F) oven for 50-60 minutes.

Saving money: Best tips to save money on cleaners, shampoo and detergents

How much do cleaning products cost you per a month?

Cleaners you have to buy every month:

- Washing machine soap
- Dishwasher detergent
- Liquid soap for dishes "When dishes can be washed easily to save more water and electricity"
- Floor cleaners
- Hand soap
- Hair shampoo
- Shower gel
- Toothpaste
Although these things separately seem to be of low cost, but together they need a monthly budget. If we try to make them ourselves at home, that will take less than half the cost, and as you know, every penny you save is a bonus. I'm trying in this hub to give you some recipes that might help you making these things by your selves to save some money. and I'm sure you will like what you do, and feel proud too :)
You can buy huge packs of materials used in many recipes, this will be more economical but first try to make little amount as a trial.
